Under the newly introduced stream, doctors, nurses, laboratory technicians, and other healthcare support staff with experience in high-demand occupations will be prioritized. The first year of the program will witness 6,000 applicants receiving invitations to apply for permanent residency through the Category-Based Selection – Health Workers stream. These invitations will be issued through Express Entry draws specifically dedicated to this stream. Candidates will be selected based on their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores, ensuring that those with the highest scores have the opportunity to apply for permanent residency.
Upon successfully obtaining permanent residency, healthcare professionals and their immediate family members will have the privilege to live, work, and study in Canada, further enriching the country’s diverse society.
